| Cumbria Life Food and Drink Festival 30 April, 1 May The festival is essentially in two parts – nine days of events at 70-90 venues all around the county and a major two-day food and drink fair at Rheged, near Penrith (click here for how to find Rheged), on Sunday, 30 April and Monday, 1May (Bank Holiday Monday) when many of the county’s leading food producers will come together to display their produce. The food fair will also involve cookery demonstrations by leading Cumbrian chefs and a banquet of attractions, including a mini-beer festival.
